The following takes place between 2:00pm and 2:00pm...our first 24 hours...

I can hear someone screaming it out loud! WELCOME to Parenthood! Wow...what a whirlwind it has been! But you know we wouldn't change a thing...obviously the challenges of plucking a little one out of her normal environment, normal language, normal smells and normal sounds and normal routine and placing her with us in a hotel for a week, we knew there would be some challenging transition time. Needless to say we hardly slept, but it has been a sweet challenge. Last night was especially sweet as we were visited by a greenish tar like substance that exploded between Maddy's legs...good grief the girl can poop! Takes after her Daddy obviously. On a cleaner side of things, we went to breakfast this morning to the complimentary buffet...we sat outside by the pool and drank an assortment of freshly squeezed juices...It is paradise. We loved the pool area so much we went back there today and just hung out and ate some lunch and let Maddy girl take a nap. The pictures above are of our little excursion to the pool this afternoon. Lastly, I must tell you that we heard our first blood curtling cry from Maddy this afternoon...I picked her up really fast in a lame attempt to play with her and she was scared to death...lets just say that we were the stars of the show for about 3 minutes as Maddy let out a cry we haven't quite heard yet...she has healthy lungs...she might be a singer!
